F-4B Phantom II VMFA-531 "Grey Ghosts" March, 1973

Skin representing one of the F-4B Phantoms II deployed at the Da Nang Air Base during the Vietnam War. The “Grey Ghosts” were the first land-based Marine Corps jets during the war.

The machine exhibits an unusual marking on its vertical stabilizer to say the least. Starting off with the Jolly Rogers, the air-frame then was assigned to the “Grey Ghosts”.
